Cruiser-X 79
------------

This is an additional note to inform 
you about the tape version of this
game.

Cruiser-X 79 is a *multi-load* tape
game. To be able to run the game,
you will need to start the tape at
side 1. Then switch over to side 2
and rewind to the start. Follow
on screen prompts.

Playing on theC64 / theVic20

If you have firmware V1.6.1 installled,
you will be able to use the traditional
tape control functions in C64 *classic
mode*. 

Go to the media manager, and select
Cruiser-X 79-Side 1.tap and run it
using the B button (under theC64
directory of course).

After you have loaded in side 1,
and exit the game intro. Go back
to the media manager and select
Cruiser-X 79-Side 2.tap and this
time press the *fire* button, 
go to the tape functions and press
*play* (>) and return to the program.

Everytime you either lose your
last life and continue, or the 
game is over - Always go to the
media manager and click on the 
stop ([]) then *rewind (<<)
until the tape counter stops.
Then press play (>) and return
to your game.

Ultimate 64 / 1541 Ultimate

Press the *menu* button and select 
Cruiser-X 79-Side 1.tap and then 
selec *Run tape*. The main program
will then load and run.

When it comes to having to rewind the
tape to the start of side 2. Always 
go to the Ultimate's menu and select
Cruiser-X 79-Side 2.tap and select 
*start tape* instead of run tape. Even
when the game is over, or the game is
completed. - Pressing *run stop* will
take you back to the main program.

Mastering to a real tape

You need the Ultimate 64 or 1541 Ultimate
with tape adapter. (If you own a 1541U2 
but no tape adapter, you can try Enthusi's
TapWriter V0.2 (avoid V0.4 as that version
was written as a joke). Make sure you
master both sides of the tape image onto 
both sides of your own tape.
